Youngman has been producing for years, but has maintained an under the radar approach. This is because he limits his output - with only 15 EPs in 17 years - and also because his releases shift in style, from heavy techno to broken beats and even some house. "Marmor" is based on a stepping rhythm and features swishing percussive licks and a churning chord sequence that gradually progresses to the foreground, like Basic Channel mixed with A Made Up Sound. Dasha Rush's remix puts a focus on a heavy, dubby bass and a more eerie version of the chords, while Youngman surprises again on "Dissolution". Focusing on minimal techno, the fluid rhythm and acidic undercurrents sound like an update on early Lost releases.
