Review: Perhaps of the most consistent and influential chapters of Bryan Gee and Jumping Jack Frost's D&B dynasty, Philly Blunt has been responsible for some of the most serious jungle benchmarks in its 22 year history. Here we find its repertoire in the trusted hands of Serum as he updates, edits and contextualises the label's history, present and future. From the many Roni-sized Firefox pieces such as the stark warbles of "True Grit" and Krusty-flavoured Glamour Gold jams such as "You Can Run" to more contemporary pieces like Serum & Voltage's mischievous jump-up funk "Save This World" and Bladerunner's immense update on Dillinja's "I Selassie I". To the point.

Review: Martin Scorsese and Mick Jagger's recent Vinyl TV show depicted the birth of New York black party culture with the mighty Kool Herc at the helm. Here Dr Packer riffs off that same imagery too, even if his edits are more in the disco vein than that of Herc's hard funk breaks. There are a whopping six edits to wrap your ears around here, highlights include sensuous 70s boogie, complete with electro bassline, of "Disco Lovin", the protracted hiNRG New Order loops of "Monday Blues" and the shimmering, dry ice soul of "Chocolate Boogie". Fun music for fun times!

Review: Double decade business: Total Science celebrate their label's big two-oh with an on-point collection of ageless constructs from friends old and new. Naturally, everyone arrives to the party in their sharpest finery; Break's cheeky rave references on the juiced up "Unified", the ugly undertones and system-melting weight of Total Science, Digital & Spirit's incredible "Apply The Pressure", Calibre's cosmic ping-pong jam "The Trot", Nymfo's dreamy harmonic heaven "Game Of Love", The Invaderz swashbuckled drum session "Be Around"... Not one player has tailored a shabby garm, ensuring well-suited jams for decade to come.

Review: Todd Terje & The Olsens come correct with their first recorded material after an extended bout of them treating festival audiences to some of the Norwegian's best-loved material, not to mention some killer cover versions. Indeed it's the latter, oft-derided method of recording that forms the basis of this delightfully-presented double pack (we love a good Big Trouble In Little China reference) as Terje and the group rip through renditions of some disco standards from Martin Circus, YMO, Vangelis and more. Given Terje's lengthy range of official and under-the-counter edits, news of this new project makes perfect sense to us. In addition to these cover versions, Olsen have also commissioned some remixes with arch Terje colluder Prins Thomas involved along with Comeme artist Daniel Maloso.

Review: The dark art of gunfingering according to Upgrade: tuck ring and pinky fingers deep into your palm, point middle and index finger, use thumb as trigger, aim skyward then listen to "Gunfingers" and pull the most screwed up face possible as the metal-striking bass riff scuffs your very soul with concentrated adrenalin. Maintain your gunfingered stance throughout the rest of the EP: "History Of War" is as murky and paranoid as the title suggests, "Transmitting" layers octaves with a riff that will shoot through your mind for months to come while "Tell Me" combines classic rave elements with Upgrade signature riff science.

Review: Hungarian hurters, if you know any of the Puppetz previous material you'll already understand the levels of darkness we're dealing with. If not, you're in for a treat. Demonic, distorted and full of leftside dirt, each cut is an adventure into jump-up's darkest pastures... "Mambo Jambo" is all slo-mo voodoo sludge, "Hench" twists tones in a way that defines science while the dagger riffed "Start Of Something" will also be the end of something... Your amicable relationship with your neighbour. "War" and "Bounce" close the show: the former is a deep drone work out wrapped in politics, the latter is all bass lasers and a very well-known spoken sample from the rave annals.

Review: Lately Leeds' Deelicious has seen his loose and groovy tunes grace the likes of Sound Exhibitions and Disco Fruit. Here he rolls out five sizzling new bangers. The urgent slice of socially conscious funk, "Lonely Town Lonely Street", kicks things off, "Trust Me" incorporates housier filtered loops into the mix and the title track is celebratory slice of disco-pop with some ace bloc-rocking breaks and punk-funk bass work. Elsewhere we enter orbit with the melodramatic sci-fi boogie of "Mechanical Body" and "Change Your Mind" is an amazing example of early underground dance music reconfigured by a 21st century perspective.

Review: Heist's Calypso Muzak continues to unearth fresh talent and give them the spotlight they deserve. Envenom's time to shine... Building on the sturdy foundations dug on Multi Function and Train, each of the five cuts shows how he subverts and twists jump-up and tear-out conventions: "Blizzard" layers bass in thick impenetrable sheets, "Killer Bass" is a space voyage over asteroid terrain while "Deaths Door" has a bass riff and breakdown so harrowing you'll need counselling for three years. Dig deeper for some skillish switches and trippy fills on "Warning", aluminium aggro on "Stimulation" and broken glass, handclapped funk with the playful riff on "Bad Juju". Devilish.

Review: Fingerman's Hot Digits imprint has packed in a lot of releases over the past 12 months, as this expansive roundup of the label's second year in business proves. Featuring 27 tracks and a bonus mix by the South Coast dwelling label boss, there's naturally plenty to admire. Highlights include, but are not limited to, the rolling, head-nodding grooves of Eyeco M's "Keeping It To Myself", the killer proto-house throb of "Tonight" by Bad Barbie vs Evil Smarty, the sexy, string-drenched disco loveliness of P-Sol's "Can't You See", LTJ's trumpet-boasting funk bumper "Fat Thing", and the hard-wired, bass-heavy rework of Julia & Company's "Breakin' Down (Sugar Samba)" by Melon Bomb. It is, though, all pretty darn hot.

Review: Hot on the kicks of his inaugural "Circuits" collection, scene soldier T>I continues to flex his floor-centric range with five more surefire slappers: "Changes" has a squiggly bleepy texture that balances just the right amount of weird funk with humour. "Hammerhead" lives up to its title with added drills and saws (and heads) while "Judgement" does a really trippy stretchy bass thing that's guaranteed to turn heads. "Let It Roll" will be the highlight for many with the juicy oozing out of the subs at toxic levels while "My Size" takes everything you know about T>I, jungle and life itself and burns it with fire. Deliciously twisted.

Review: Nebraska has been a busy boy of late, delivering killer material on both Mister Saturday Night and Delusions of Grandeur. Here he dons his favourite balaclava and joins Detroit Swindle's Heist. He begins with the groovy, loose and low-slung disco-house bump of "Khan's Bargain", which is also brilliantly remixed by obscure boogie specialist Tom Noble. The tempo increases dramatically on the wide-eyed deep house sprint of "The Blues", before Nebraska enhances his Balearic house credentials thanks to the blissful synthesizer arpeggio lines and swirling chords of "It Won't Be Long". The spacey, string-drenched shuffle of "Varkala" draws a fine EP to a close.

Review: 20 years: time flies when you're busy being Total Science, one of D&B's most consistent banger outlets of all time. Celebrating two decades of their influential label, here they deliver four tracks that won't appear on their anniversary album; DLR provides two versions of Quiff's 93 agenda-setter "Champion Sound" while Calibre does what he does best on the piano on "Under Bars" and Total Science themselves lick up a dubby system shocker that tips a wry nod at the likes of Digital and Spirit.

Review: Weighing in at a whopping 29 tracks deep, the latest instalment in the re-born Paper Recordings' label compilation series, Paper Cuts, is something of a sprawling epic. It draws mostly on material released over the last two years, which has seen a dramatic increase in the volume of label missives. Taking in a wide array of house, disco and Balearic flavours, it's tightly packed with dancefloor-friendly treats. Highlights are, of course, plentiful, from the cheery Scandolearic shuffle of Diskobeistet's "Gammal Morro" and the dreamy deep house throb of Neil Quigley's gorgeous "Loops For Peace", to the wonky rave revivalism of Flash Atkins' "Drug Empire", and the sparkling Italo-disco revivalism of Leon Sweet's "Below".

Review: Back in March, Rayko and James Rod launched their Classics of Arrikitaun series with an EP of largely impressive re-edits on Rare Wiri. This second volume delivers more breezy, midtempo goodness for those who like their grooves sunny and synth-heavy. Predictably, Rayko's two contributions tend towards the Balearic boogie, with the drifting, delay-laden vocals, rubbery synth-bass and glistening guitars of "Betcha" just elbowing out Midnight Starr cut-up "Headlines" in the "highlight" stakes. As for Rod, he urges us to grab a glass of something cool, sweet and refreshing on the piano-laden disco shuffle of "Silver Bike", before closing his eyes and raising his arms heavenward on the sensual boogie throb of "The Name Of Love".

Review: Robert Hood's second album as Floorplan sees him hone in on disco, gospel and house influences to create a proper big room collection. As the driving, disco-loop heavy "Spin" and the ridiculously catchy "Music" demonstrate, the Detroit producer has stripped Floorplan of its techno influences. However, this does't mean he has simplified his message; accompanying the religious vocals on "The Heavens & The Earth" is a hypnotic organ riff, the slightly less pious "Good Thang" is a riotous siren-heavy jacker in the Reese tradition, and "He Can Save You", with its dense primal rhythm is reminiscent of Green Velvet as his madcap best. Hood may have chosen God, gospel and disco over the minimal nation, but he still knows how to lead his people onto the dancefloor.

Review: Usually when someone invites us into their "Nightmare World" we'd usually decline. Not because of the nightmares but because it's scientifically proven that people talking about their dreams is the most boring thing ever. Jaydan is the exception to the rule; every tale he tells is barbed and loaded with suspense. This new four tracker is no exception. From the grizzly, bet-wetting bass and slight tripletty swing of "Scary Movie" right the way through the Public Enemy homage "1983", Jaydan's dreamtalk is better than most people's realtalk.

Review: Following Etherwood and Fred V & Grafix, S.P.Y is the next to step up to the "Hospital Mixtape" series with a walloping 31-track mix of which almost half has never been released before. As you'd expect from the bazillion dollar Brazilian, the range is wide with tendencies to gully. Essential exclusives you'd be an absolute madman not to check include his deep-swing twist on Digital's seminal "Deadline", the insane sub bass slipperiness on Random Movement's incredible "In Space No One Can Hear You Funk" and the "Up All Night" style late 90s slap down with his brother Unreal "Enduro". A proper mix and a previously unobtainable selection that's yours for the taking... What's not to love here?

Review: Black Sun Empire's Blackout development has been astronomical: A go-to hub of forward-thinking tech-edged drum & bass, it's played a leading role in the dominance of the neuro sound this decade. And here are 13 reasons why it's developed such a buy-on-sight status: from BSE's hair-raising, joyriding shake-up of Audio to Current Value's Kubrickian sci-fi drama to the long-awaited arrival of "Ego" VIP, not only will this shatter any floor in a ten mile radius but also documents the versatility, talent and innovation in the darker side of D&B right now. And Blackout are partly responsible for this.

Review: Few re-edit series of recent times have been quite as consistent as the Editor's Kutz EPs. We can happily report that they've maintained these high standards on volume six. Vinyladdicted and Sleazy McQueen join forces on the opener, a rolling, head-nodding stoner rock re-cut that makes excellent use of subtle disco-house trickery. Regular studio buddies Ed Wizard and Disco Double Dee do an excellent job in looping up and dubbing out Marcus Valle's Balearic disco classic "Estrellar" (here re-titled "Stellar Dub"), while The Silver Rider chops between drum rolls and charity shop disco thrills on "Good Lovin' Baby". Finally, Doc Jam turns a well-known disco staple into a Soundstream style cut-up disco-house shuffler.

Review: Bristol's X-Ray Ted is about the light and fun party jams, no cool digger's obscurities welcome here. Here he serves four guaranteed floor fillers starting with "Mild Mild West", a loose-limbed disco rendition of the Good The Bad and The Ugly theme, next "Too Good" sees Aretha Franklin get a house-shaped whoosh under her backside, "EveryMoney" meanwhile sees some vintage soul fused with classic Kelis and ODB and finally "Hold Tight" sees the show close with some sizzling neon-flecked arpeggiated disco..

Review: Juan Miguel Bassols first pricked our consciousness way back in 2012, when he delivered a fine debut under the JMII moniker on 100% Silk. He's not released all that much since, making this first appearance on Hivern Discs his highest profile EP to date. There's naturally much to admire amongst the three original productions present, from the stripped-back but melodious acid house shuffle of "Thrills", to the wild lead lines and chugging bottom end of the analogue synth-heavy proto-house snap of "Tightbrass". Christian S provides two tasty reworks of that cut, including a dark and seductive "Angry Dub". A woozy, dreamier John Talabot re-edit of "Thrills" completes an excellent package.

Review: Full Cycle continue their recharged return with their first full EP since re-opening the shop. First up are two brand new Roni cuts that fit their original signature perfectly. "Whistleblower" leans back on some woozy synths in a similar way Brookes Brothers and Chase & Status did around eight years ago - all hazy and cosmic sounding before dropping into a big scratchy bass riff. "Rock The Boat", meanwhile, licks up with an instantly infectious scale-based bassline hook and big live drum feels. Sealing the deal is man of the halftime moment Fracture who's twisted up Krust's 2000-era "Kloakin Device" with a fittingly twisted re-interpretation for the modern slo-mo age. Full Cycle are back baby!

Review: Munich-based Alkalino (aka Lino Rodrigues) has been delivering top notch re-edits for years now, so there's no chance of him quitting, despite the title of his new series. We've seen the list of his upcoming releases, and these are certainly not his Last Edits. There are quite a few newbies on here, eight to be precise so there's a lot to choose from. Our favourites happen to be the dreamily seductive disco throb of "Body & Soul", the austere mechanics of New Order redux, "How Do I Feel" and the low slung driving space disco of "We Got It".

Review: Quite remarkably, Obas Nenor's 2015 debut 12", My Way Home, appeared on Moodyman's Mahogani Music imprint. Since then, he's released hot material on Strictly Rhythm and Sol Power Sound. Here, he pops up on Detroit Swindle's Heist imprint with another strong collection of hazy, low-slung deep house shufflers. He begins with the loose, cheesecake-rich warmth of "The Door", before dipping the tempo a little on the funk-infused groove jam "Glimpse Of Light". There's a pleasingly bluesy feel about the bold and melodious "UV Lights", while "Wakee" offers a nu disco-influenced take on Detroit Beatdown. Mr Tophat's dense, deliciously percussive remix of "The Door" completes an excellent package.

Review: You can't keep a good man down and unsurprisingly Audaz boss Alkalino is already back following his recent 'farewell' Final Edits release. Although his allegiance has switched more towards contemporary house productions lately, his definitive resignation from disco edits is still a long way off. Here we have seven of his latest scalpel jobs, all of which provide serious shape throwing dancefloor possibilities. Highlights however, include the incessant Afro-influenced funk stomp of "What To Do", the new romantic ennui of "No Tomorrow (Version 2)" and the arpeggiated body music of "Mu Mu" which tackles a rave gem by The KLF.

Review: Jump up jungle time! A trailblazing DJ in New York for almost 20 years, Hoogs knows how to bring it, and bring it he does - from jungle to deep and minimal there ain't a road he ain't travelled. Here though it's all about hyper fun DnB, with "Monsoon" kicking off with a relentless 175 bpm wobble-influenced assault, the title track bringing in some tougher breaky elements and "Sand Bag" is all about take-me-to-your-leader bass and horror backing tracks. Lastly "Day Dreaming" mixes speedy beats, barking mechanical bass and retro samples. Mad ting.

Review: Whoever said that disco was dead was not aware of Dr Packer and his life-restoring scalpel skills. The cover of this eighth installment of edits reveals the good doc and colleagues hard at work resurrecting a giant disco ball and the sonic results can be heard on this mini-album. Highlights include the slinky clap-along, "Somebody Else", the noodle-bass moog boogie of "Xpand Your Mind" and the breaks-laden cocktail grind of "Tropical Jump". Good to hear disco has checked outta hospital and back on the dancefloor in full health.

Review: Veteran junglist, DJ, promoter and artist T>I continues to deliver some seriously heavyweight rattlers; "Music Takes Me" lights the five-track bass bonfire with its loose shaking percussion and classic diva vocal snippet. Deeper into the heat we explore: "Jabz" executes that stripped back grump bass jump-up thing perfectly, "Watcha Man" takes us on a dark romp with soaking wet bass bounces and a well-positioned toaster vocal while "Them Bells" stretches out ominous chimes over a punctuated drums and elastic sub and "Relentless" is a dark track tailored for clubs with its tripped out bassline and Voltage undertones. Each cut on-point and catered for the dance... The best thing is it's the first part - meaning plenty more of the good stuff to come too!

Review: Rather surprisingly, this is File Under Disco's first release of 2016. Happily, it's a bit of a doozy, with Brooklyn's J Kriv gathering together The Disco Machine band for the first time since 2013's much-played "Make It Hot". Escort's Adeline Michele guests, adding strong, catchy and attractive vocals to an authentic NYC disco bomb built around a Chic style groove, fluid synths, crunchy Clavinet lines and cowbell-heavy percussion. The authenticity of J Kriv's production is highlighted on the accompanying Instrumental, while old pal Dicky Trisco does his best Walter Gibbons impression on a near 11-minute remix that allows each instrumental part room to breathe.

Review: Brooklyn's Razor-N-Tape reach out to the Lowlands and coax Hans Peeman into donning his Junktion alias for a new four-track EP on their Razor-N-Tape Reserve label. Living up to it's dignified and reserved billing, this release on the offshoot finds the Nijmegen-based Peeman laying down some luscious, colourful disco vibes that will brighten up any sun laden afternoon on the terrace. Title track "Hot & Bothered" sets the tone with a summery vibe underpinned by some bumping drums, whilst "I'm wishin'" glides with a subtle house bump and some wonderful vocal touches. "Fling Cleaning" sees Peeman veer off into disco chug territory, whilst "Visions of You" ends the EP on a soulful note.

Review: DJ Kaos doesn't put out many re-edits these days, but when he does, they're invariably superb. This seven-track set of fresh reworks contains some of his finest scalpel work to date. The headline attraction is undoubtedly "Midnight Patrol", a brilliant rearrangement of the Valverde Brothers' 1978 disco cover of JJ Cale's "After Midnight" that makes much of the winding synth solos and gospel backing vocals. There's plenty of other killer material throughout, though, from the synth-laden cosmic disco throb of "Stranger", and 135 BPM tropical drum workout "Ocean Rhythms", to the '70s rock surge of "Psychedelic Supermarket" (a tasty re-cut of The Who favourite "Eminence Front"). All killer, no filler.

Review: Stafford's Dave Gerrard has been around for over 30 years so you can trust the DJ on this one. He's back on his usual stomping ground for more disco goodies on DJ Butcher's Chopshop out of Athens, Greece. He first takes the knife to the Jackson 5's "Dancing Machine" on "Generation 5" (great edit this one!), then he turns in an edit of a proper soul funk classic on "Repeat The Funk" (any guesses?) but finally he gives a Bill Withers classic a makeover on "You Got The Stuff". Highlight's on here not limited to Princess' smooth ergonomics displayed on the re-splice of the Prince classic "Sexy Dancer", Feel The Vibe's great cover of "Get Down Tonight" looped for your pleasure by Kc/Sub and they save the best for last with Mr Faded/Blackhead's (aka McFadden & Whitehead's) 1979 classic "Ain't No Stoppin' Us Now". Review: Such has been the rise of Marquis Hawkes in recent times that this debut album must mark as one of the most anticipated house sets of 2016. Happily, Social Housing is a superb showcase not only for Hawkes' talents, but also his understanding of house music in its' many myriad forms. The album does include, of course, a sprinkling of jackin' workouts, but these are outnumbered by such thrilling chunks of loved-up positivity as the Tiger & Woods style loop funk of "Fantasy", the Theo Parrish-ish jazz fuzziness of "Summer Memory", and the cheeky, Todd Edwards style cut-up garage of "Something In Yr Head" [sic]. The album's most potent moment, though, is "I'm So Glad", a collaboration with Jocelyn Brown that already ranks among 2016's most potent tunes.

Boom: along comes another muscular collection of absolute gold and the long arm of the law starts reaching for the lasers again. Four tracks of undiluted lushness, one instrumental, Phil's soulful space-bound signature is in full effect right here. From Hannah Eve's vocal hurricane on "As Much As I Can Take" to the planet-leaping synths and whirlwind pads of "Illuminate", this is Tangent at his sonic sharpest... Review: Label-hopping Siberian Sunner Soul is in a cheery mood, which may - in part, at least - be down to his return to the Vintage Music imprint he founded in 2009. The positively titled Happy EP begins with "Hang On", a deliciously hazy, dreamy chunk of fluttering disco-meets-deep house bliss built around slowly shifting loop patterns, stretched-out builds, cut-up samples and bouncy bottom end. Horn-heavy title track "Happy" is little less than a rush-inducing romp through party-starting disco-funk cheeriness, while "All Right" sees him expertly re-arrange (and tool-up) a shuffling, sun-kissed disco-funk cut full of rising string lines, fizzing jazz-funk synths and punchy horn lines. In other words, it's an EP chock full of mood enhancing moments.

Review: Stroud collective Situation has long been among the most reliable re-editors on the nu-disco scene. Further proof that they barely put a foot wrong arrives in the form of "Simple Pleasures", a deliciously jazzy chunk of breezy dancefloor goodness that effortlessly combines glistening guitars, warm organ stabs, shuffling soul breaks and a life-affirming female vocal. For those who can take or leave the vocal, the boys from the Five Valleys have included an excellent instrumental version. There's a tougher, more upbeat remix present, too, with Chop Shop boss George Kelly turning the swinging original into a metronomic disco-house chugger. While good, it lacks a little of the alluring looseness of Situation's original version.

Review: On paper, this collaboration between veteran Balearic/disco/house fusionists Faze Action, and Zimbabwean drummer-turned-vocalist Zeke Manyika has all the makings of a humid, sun-kissed classic. Happily, "Mangwana" - a kind of late '80s Hugh Masekela Balearic afro-house jam full of punchy horns, chiming synth melodies and chanted African vocals - is every bit as alluring as you'd expect. The Waiting For The Rain-era Masekela influences are even stronger on the delicious A Vision of Panorama mix, while the Paradise '89 Dub pushes the track further towards dubbed-out New York house territory while beefing up the backing track a little. Elsewhere on the EP, you'll find two superb versions of the percussive, tropical '80s workout "Kumbengo" (including a heavy, Junodownload-only Dub), and the hazy downtempo goodness of "Chiiko".

Review: You can do this the easy way or the hard way... Whether you untie your shoelaces or not, your shoes are going through the window the second "Unchained" drops. Signs has officially levelled up. Bringing up the rear are Friction and Karma with a walloping roller where the bassline takes a much more active role in the story than it would in a more typical liquid cut. "Turn To Nothing" is Ed.It at his finest; restrained, barbed and tooled up with a sharp sample. Finally North Base close the show with their most delicate track to date as "Unexplained" shimmers with Technimatic-level pianos. Don't even think about fetching your defenestrated footwear.

Review: Given their extensive shared musical history and influences, you'd expect this hook-up between former Classic/Music For Freaks types Luke Solomon and Jonny Rock to contain some belting cuts. Predictably, it does. Dancefloor sweatiness is guaranteed from the start, via the undulating, Moroder-inspired bass guitar, spacey electronics, clipped guitars and dense disco percussion of "Luca Frangipan", and its' suitably trippy, more heavily electronic companion Dub. There's a breezier, looser feel to "Groovin' To La", which expertly teases out soulful vocal samples and soaring strings atop a bouncy Italo-disco/deep house/classic disco fusion groove. The accompanying Dub mix is, if anything, even stronger. Sadly, this digital version of the EP doesn't feature DJ Fett Burger & Jayda G's killer remix, so you'll have to buy the 12" to get that.

Review: Scott Moncrief's quietly confident debut album Columbising has been one of the sleeper hits of 2016, with the Sheffield-based East Midlander serving up an effortlessly soulful set that joins the dots between hip-hop, broken beat, boogie, and U.S deep house. This follow-up EP showcases one of the album's highlights, Dave Aju collaboration "Turn It Out." Aju takes the deliciously loose and live-sounding original - all jumpy clavinet lines, swinging deep house drums and urgent vocals - and turns it into a stripped-back, heavily electronic broken house gem. Elsewhere, Lawrence Guy delivers a wonderfully warm, rich and soulful deep house interpretation of Erik Rico hook-up "Boogie Down", before Moncrief enlists the honeyed-tonsils and impeccable piano playing skills of regular collaborator Pete Simpson, on the jazzy gospel-house deepness of "For Bae".

Review: Today's Critical lesson is brought to you by the letter B... Binga, Breakage and absolute badness. First up Breakage adds a rolling booty bounce to one of the many highlights on Binga's album Wasted Days album. Binga returns the favour by looking back into the annals of Critical history and dusting off Breakage's formative 2005 skanker "Staggered Dub" and injecting a cool amount of deep halftime space. Both exemplary examples of remix authenticity. Blimey. Bigness.

Review: It's about time... Fresh off the heat of his Trevino album, Marcus returns to the D&B source with a full-fat foursome on his label's spotless Four:Fit series. Each cut a 24 carat diamond, shining in its own special way: "Mixed Bag" is a DRS-polished soulful addition to the ever-growing halftime annals, both "Step Forward" and "Stingray" are brittle two-step heads-down headbutts while "Jupiter" is an amen-rattled jungle shake-up. Timeless, deep and spacious; Marcus never fails.

Review: Given his credentials and track record, it's unsurprising that original disco and boogie artists are willing to let Joey Negro play around with their biggest hits. His first stab at this kind of multi-track remix, 2014's Remixed With Love, was such a success that he's decided to unleash another swathe of revisions over two vinyl double-packs. This edition features some killer reworks, including a sublime, on-point rearrangement of Gwen McRae's "Keep The Fire Burning" and a rolling, dubbed-out version of Grace Jones' "Pull Up To The Bumper" that rivals Larry Levan's classic remix. The veteran producer also successfully turns Pockets' "Come Go With Me" into a classic soulful house rub, and pushes Thelma Houston's "I'm Here Again" further towards disco anthem territory.
