Z Records - Z Records is perhaps one of the longest running house labels with an equally distinctive logo to match. Founded in 1991 by British house institution Dave Lee aka Joey Negro, Z has become the home for his multitude of aliases from Agora to Z Factor with the innumerable knowingly silly aliases matched by the sheer output of music that retains a clear soulful and funky identity. Other house legends of note to have released tracks on the imprint include Seamus Haji and Marshall Jefferson. Dave Lee has also flexed his crate digging muscles of late with some impressive compilations on Z that chart British disco and boogie.
