Review: From this prodigious 17-year old French producer, Alec Carlsson takes the influence of Chicago's biggest house luminaries and drops his own airy and spaced-out re-imaginings on this new EP. Lead tune "Doux Velour" runs at a mid-tempo swing and is stuffed with swirling phased textures that burrow quickly into the brain. Euphoria by contrast has a touch of his homeland's own house sound, thanks to the Alan Braxe-esque bassline, while a Borrowed Identity mix of "Doux Velour" amps up the emotion no end thanks to a glorious addition of a 303.
