Review: Amaning steps up on DJ SS's Formation Records and brings with him the Ost EP. Prepare yourselves for an aural onslaught as Amaning takes no prisoners and delivers only the best in dancefloor D&B. Veering away from the "jump up" tag so often associated with Formation, Amaning kicks off the EP with vocal-driven cut "Ost", with shimmying SFX and rolling, slightly aggressive percussion. Moving on through "Waters Of Mars", this one is all grouchy warping and grinding, while "Slippin Away" marks a change in style again, bringing in Greenlaw on vocal duties for a straight up liquid track. "Things We Had" brings all these different elements together for the final track of the EP.
