Review:
Amoss is definitely unfolding as a one to watch as time goes on and this release on Horizon's is no exception. Kicking off with "Beartrap", it's all tense, hissing hi-hats and eerie SFX for the first part of the intro. Tough drums set the tone and as the tune drops we are plunged into a world full of subterranean bass, pummeling drums and groaning subs, with a Renegade Hardware edge to the proceedings. "Headrush" is an equally excellent venture with tripping beats, powerful bassline and warping synths adding a deeper texture to the piece. Miss this at your peril!

Review:
If you liked Amoss' "Footloose" release on The Spectrum EP from 2011, then you'll be all over this awesome VIP, which comes to you once again on Neil Monteiro's Horizons Music imprint. Deep, minimal flavours with a dose of the darkness prevail for the main part, but Amoss twists things up and amplifies the original with a fresh new patina. This is killer stuff! Also make sure you check out "Lost Souls" which accompanies it - another excellent slice of deep D&B with pattering, tribal-influenced drums and deep, humming b-line, coupled with eerie atmospherics, this is an outstanding release.

Review:
Hot up and coming new duo Amoss returns to Horizons for no less than their third release this year. The pair sprung onto the underground D&B scene last year with their signature sound, which treads the deep and tough divide nicely with oodles of class. "Minus" is just such a number with disorientating sci-fi SFX circling some crunchy breaks and throbbing b-line, making for a lovely late night rumbler. "Splitface" is a sharper cut, with the sound of pouring rain adding a horror movie vibe from the off, whilst tense, metallic stabs and terse, ticking breaks serve to increase the tension.

Review:
Amoss steps up with more seriously solid D+B on Horizons. Following a string of very strong releases over the last couple of years, "Real Talk" lives up to its namesake with punchy, purposeful drums, moody atmospherics and plenty of dancefloor-slaying potential. An echoing vocal sample provides a dose of lyrical aggression but for the most part Amoss goes back to basics with stabbing beats and rolling bass. Accompanying this is the Hybris remix of "Minus" which is another menacing, low slung cut full of punishing sub bass and skittish rhythms.

Review:
Upcoming D+B talent Amoss has impressed with his past releases and now steps up for more tough, stripped back D+B goodness on Dispatch. This five-track EP has it covered; from "Shapeshifter (feat. MC Fokus)" which gets things started with its clicking beats and gently pattering spoken words, through "New Jack Swing" with its acerbic twisting synths, to "Latch" - a collab with Dabs - with its rough, tough beats. "Rollpipe", up next, is another stand out cut from the EP with rumbling bass and thumping drums. Digital exclusive "Tikkd" completes the proceedings with a flurry of razor sharp snares and enticing atmospherics.

Review:
D&B duo Andy Tweedale and James Evans build on their past Amoss releases on Renegade Hardware, Dutty Audio, Dispatch and more with this fired-up four-tracker on Horizons Music. "Throwback" rides some militant tech-breaks, while "Secondary" keeps things mean yet dubby by throwing a host of sounds through delays that float nicely over the mix. Pick of the bunch though is the eerie, spooked jump-up of "Footloose", which uses a host of percussion hits and rim shots to freshen up the rhythms.

Review:
Amoss has been making good progress in the last couple of years and has become a very credible producer indeed with a slew of releases on the Horizons imprint and beyond. This next release is another sterling performance; "Tripped" builds from an eerie intro with tense, ticking beats into the main part with insistent vocal, warping bass with a touch of Icicle about it, pounding subs and buckets of menace and murkiness. A late night stepper, no doubt. "Why Do We Fall" is another killer cut with a more driving, dancefloor edge it pairs groaning SFX with percussive beats and again, a gloomy presence hangs over it ominously.
