Review: Having released on Lifted, Horizons, Hospital and more, Apex makes his debut on Teebee's acclaimed Subtitles label with this outstanding release. After an epic two and a half minute intro, "Inner Space" drops into the most beautiful, spaced out tune - the poised, progressive, delicately balanced nature of the piece is perfectly maintained throughout, before a more dancefloor driven final chapter closes the voyage. Over on the flip, "Energy Lines" explores the sci-fi style soundscape depicted in the introspective "Inner Space" even further, with an oceanic intro full of glitchy gurgles, warped bass rolls, crisp, stepping breaks and an altogether more grimy feel than the A Side.
