Review:
Deep seeded nu-soul vibes abound effortlessly on this collection of remixes taken from Chanan's album of the same name. 10 cuts in total, each one respectfully adding dancefloor weight to Hanspal's compositions, the remixes range from swinging, jazz-flecked house to deep, tracky, tribal groove workouts. "It's Only Just A Garden" is the most popular cut to go under the knife with Yam Who, Yan Dulche and Kay Suzuki all throwing their interpretations into the ring. It's Yam Who's take that really stands out, though, with a warm, squidgy analogue bassline doing more of the talking, allowing the vocals to take a beat seat and really make an impact mid-track. Elsewhere you'll find a roof-raising electro version of "Fields Of Fire" by CGI Guy and a jacking, synth-washed tech-flavoured remake of "Footprints In The Sand" by Vince Vella.
