Review:
Fittingly, the name of the label that Colburn is releasing on translates as 'raw material'. This neatly sums up the direction that he takes on Stick; the title track features stomping industrial beats, churning filters and cheese-wire percussion, elements that make it primed for big room usage. "Headspin" is slightly more subtle and is similar in sound to SP-X or Peter Van Hoesen; chiming riffs unfold over doubled up claps and lead-weight drums that swagger with malicious intent. Both "Dab" and "Feelings" follow a similar trajectory, but Colburn shows a slightly more mellow side, adding in hypnotic chord sequences and dubby sweeps.
