Review: Conan is a new Irish producer and judging by Sick Floor, he has an in-depth knowledge of 90s techno. The title track is a warm techy house affair, like the chord-driven releases from Ian Pooley on Force Inc. Ozka delivers a remix with harder beats and an insistent groove, but the Belgian producer can't help but to lapse into the original's sweet chords. "Weekend Worker" is cut from a similar cloth, but the rhythm is more stepping and contemporary and the end result is similar to Shed's Eq'D project - our pick of the bunch. From this point however, the release goes in a darker direction: "Sartini Court" is a visceral, acid-caked peak time techno track and "Re-Use" is a sample-heavy Dave Clarke-style loop track. Very impressive stuff.
