Review: Originally a garage banger back in 1996, Somore's "I Refuse" now returns in the shape of ten contemporary remixes. French neo-garage hero Phil Weeks combines the original vocals with a chunky house backdrop, The "RIP Deep Dub" takes right back to the mid 90s speed garage days and Industry Standard take the tune back even further for a Nightcrawlers-sound. On a less retro tip, Serious Danger take the song in a doom-step direction a la Burial and Wayne's Strip Down mix, reduces the track to vocals and sparse, sensual beats.
