Review: With a name that sounds like some pub glam rock band, and a sound that brutally fuses electro with bass, funk and some serious shades of trance, Death Rose Cult aren't hard to miss... And they're only on their debut release! "Badman" is a real false-proceedings number; it opens with a hefty pump but nothing can prepare you for the drop when it finally lands. Meanwhile "Voodoo" is a far more full-frontal beat ambush; devious dubstep along the similar lines to High Rankin or the Never Say Die lot - it's extreme in every sense.

Review: A cheeky one-track release here as Cheap Thrills stars old and new tag-team for this rampant electro bomb. Building with a searing euphoric hook that sounds like it was made on one of those Prodigy style out of tune keyboards we're then thrown in at the very deep end as several shades of bass play a sharp Q&A over the top. Instant party. And just when you think it can't get any more uplifting, in come the arpeggios and an even bigger drop. You'll be thankful this Kraken's been released.
