We'd all like our lives remixed to varying degrees, but alas this is the album "Life In The Slow Lane" by singer/songwriter Dave Lilley and its been remixed (in varying degrees) by nine different producers. The mellow vibes of the original LP are generally preserved although style-wise, we now also get lilting electronic African beats on "Roustabouts (Olatunde remix)", simmering hippy-hop on "Dust Can Glow (Azaxx remix)" and even funky Balearic house courtesy of "Zygote No 9 (Diesler remix)".
Double Yellow is the nom de plume of singer/songwriter Dave Lilley. Having gained the public's attentions with a Nouvelle Vagueish cover of 'No One Knows" (by Queens Of the Stone Age), he now delivers the full long player. The album features 11 tracks (including No One Knows) and boasts a broad range of styles including the quirky piano-pop of "If Only", the brassy lounge-core of "Dust Can Glow", the dubby skank of "Roustabouts' and the disco funk of "We Got Caught".
