Duoscience & Scott Allen At Juno Download

Review: Duoscience and Scott Allen team up for the Soul Self EP. Channelling a classic Fokuz sound, this is simply bursting with lush, lilting melodies, shuffling breaks, drifting atmospherics and glimmers of vocals. Chiming piano keys sound in the eponymous track of the EP with the hypnotic lyric repeating "soul self" looping round some lush breaks and hissing hi-hats. The accompanying "Desert Moon" is all lustrous chiming noises, rustling and rattling beats and a blissed out soundscape, stripped back but delicate in texture with warm, undulating bassline and cooing vocals.
