Review: Electronic Operators' contribution to the tenth Emphatic instalment is the most conventional, featuring a throbbing electronic groove that rattles and hums its way through a succession of build-ups and breakdowns. DJ Stay's "Strike" takes a more visceral route. Although it too is predicated on buzzing riffs, it's the jarring percussion pushing it onwards and upwards that really has the impact. However, both sound restrained in comparison to Vegim's "Worlds Between Tones", a dense broken beat techno workout that pauses occasionally before diving headlong back into Regis-style intensity. It's not for the faint-hearted, and sounds all the better for it.
