Flaco At Juno Download

Review: It's a lush, lovely sunshine rollercoaster ride on Marky's Innerground imprint as Flaco steps up with a couple of sumptuous rollers just in time for spring. The title track "Isla Verde" is all percussive rattling breaks, soaring atmospherics with a purring b-line below. Emotive coos and wails punctuate this super smooth tune from time to time. "Gonna Take Time" is a more stripped back piece, with the focus on the warping bass and murmuring vocal. One for the staunch Marky and SPY fans.

Review: Lush liquid vibes from Flaco here, with a Youngman style vocal laid over the top. A glowing atmospheric intro with rolling percussion and nicely placed hi-hats leads into the main tune and rolls out til the end. The melodies seem to be seeking redemption in the hollows of the soundscape, with swirling background sweeps and lilting lyrics. Over on the flip, shimmying jazzed up piano keys, distant vox and chiming beats soothe the soul in "On A Ride". Uplifting from the off, this has a delicate charm and charisma.
