Review: Flame comes up with a couple of stylish stunners on the Celsius label. A name you may recognize from Med School's New Blood 011 compilation last year, Flame's talent is on show once again here. The title track is all blissed out atmospherics, rolling breaks, deep bass bellows and cooing vocal, with firm drum kicks setting the pace. Wistful, gentle breezy piece "Long Way From Home" completes the package, with twinkly SFX, calming breaks and sinuous atmospheric sweeps. A couple of out and out beauties.

Review: Flame, a name you may recognize from Med School's New Blood 010 compilation, arrives on Fokuz with the Morning Glory EP. In true Flame style, the title track is a swathe of stripped back beats, gliding instrumentals and nostalgic SFX, while "Brilliance" is a little more upbeat with driving beats juxtaposed against chiming SFX and blissed out atmospherics - a curious cut, no question. The EP is rounded off with the third and final track "Nightscape" - a beautiful piece with pattering breaks, dreamy SFX and breathy atmospherics.

Review: Having impressed us with his release on Med School's New Blood 011 last year, Flame comes up trumps with this delightful new offering on Soul Deep Recordings. A two-tracker of 172bpm bliss, the Solitary Shores EP kicks off with the title track, which is a trumpet-tooting, shimmying slice of soulful D&B, with sonorous vocal snippets, warm, undulating bass and booming subs. Chiming instrumentals add even more delicacy to the proceedings. The accompanying "Love Slow" is another smooth number, with R&B vocal, polished piano keys and gently tripping beats.
