Review: The worlds of tribal house and dub reggae collide on "Wallerr". Based on a hammering rhythm, waves of filtered percussion provide the basis for some drawling Jamaican patois and effortlessly evocative chords. It feels like Flip has taken the inherent sadness of Rhythm & Sound and copper-fastened it to Conaisseur's driving, drum-led tech-house. The original version faces some stiff competition in the form of Trickski's remix. The backing track is stripped back and subtle, making the vocal sample sound druggier and more spaced out. Trickski adeptly uses surging chords and heavy claps to augment this exemplary piece of moody dance music.
