Review: Following November's action-packed instalment, Skint now unveil another remix package of this veteran producer's ever-giving single. Here the hypey reggaeton banger is reworked in all manner of styles: competition winner Benasis delivers a fierce baile/bass/trap version, comp runner-up Fed Conti delivers an accurately titled 'dirty electro version, Dvine1 goes slow for a trippy dub interpretation instead, while David Starfire goes all melodic dubstep on his take. If that's not enough, instrumental versions of Dvine1 and Fed Conti's mixes are also included alongside the original.

Review: Next up on Skint is Freq Nasty featuring Tippa Irie and Solar Lion with a whole bunch of badness in his track "Not Givin' In" which has remixes from Rido, Flore, Sonny Wharton, Tenkai, Greg Reve plus a instrumental. The original is a jumping and jiving rave soundtrack for the modern party generation. Gird your loins as this one is full of electrifying urban lyrics delivered with a distorted drawl, with uplifting trance synths and pumping beats and bass. Rido provides a cracking dubstep remix, whilst Flore draws out the darkness, Sonny Wharton pitches things up and shakes the rhythms up, Tenkai strips things back on a minimal tip and Greg Reve gets funky and experimental.

Review: Hereldeduke takes on five Skint artists in Fatboy Slim, Tiga, Roman Flugel, Freq Nasty and Emulsion to deliver remixes of their tunes. He works his trippy, loopy magic on popular tracks such as Fatboy Slim's "Champion Sound," Roman Flugel?s "Geht?s Noch" and Tiga's "Hot In Herre" in a way that only he can. Trip out to this one!

Review: Rarities, as the title would suggest, is a selection of rare tracks, given a release by one of breakbeat's pioneering labels, Skint Recordings. With a man like Freq Nasty at the helm of a selection of this, there can only be a unique and interesting sound.

Darin McFadyen was born in Fiji but grew up in New Zealand before he moved over to London in the early 1990s. Taking in influences that have reached him from the many cultures he has encountered throughout his life, you can hear the variation in his music. Not tied down to one, or even two genres at any one time, Freq Nasty's DJ sets and mix Cds are free of constraints and wander unreservedly through numerous styles. Combined with this, is his ability to create a party atmosphere with the tunes he plays. Again a side product of his travelling youth, Freq has got to party in many places around the world. As he sets off on headline gigs across the globe he gets to do this even more today and his releases aim to bring the vibe of his dancefloors to your headphones. It is with this sentiment that Rarities includes tracks, exclusive remixes and edits from the likes of The Freestylers, Rodney P, Radioactive Man, Phil Kieran and Deliquent. Categorised by numerous, and often conflicting styles and genres, not to mention heavy beats, Rarities is a musical journey through previously uncharted territories. With some top remixers on the album added to the Midas touch of Freq Nasty himself, this is another unique, forward thinking release from Skint Records that makes them the pivotal force within the dance scene that they are today.
