Review:
Rush Hour continues its fine run of releases on a Detroit/Chicago tip with Gene Hunt's Cancemnini EP. A veteran from the Windy City, Mr Hunt (sadly not the same Gene Hunt who plies his trade as a fearsome detective in the Life On Mars TV series) certainly knows his way around a studio. All four tracks on this EP are produced with intricate poise, from the pitch perfect kick on "Gyro Jazz" to the deft use of keys on "Xylo Maze".

Review:
This one's been pounding out of the Juno office stereo for a few weeks now! Mr Hardy's good friend Gene Hunt further cements the Rush Hour working relationship with "May The Funk Be With You" deftly splicing a killer vocal hook amidst a synth laden Chicago jack refrain that constantly fizzes with new and inventive rhythmic directions. The transition into the sweat inducing mid section and back into the detuned "Deep Burnt"ish melodics is stunning. And look, a certain Sound Signature boss gets Ugly on the track with a drastic revision like only Theo knows how. Don't try and beat mix this gospel heavy tech jazz behemoth; just let all the hypnotic eight minutes play out son.
