Review: Funny story! Hitman chose this name because if things didn't work out for him in the bass world, he would become a real gun-toting hit man. Actually, that's not a funny story; that's a sad story... But one with a cracking ending. Hitman has made it in the bass world. "Strange Happenings" is a fine example of his sonic success; the bass proudly croaks and gurgles over a dominant half step that salutes to dubstep's formative days with a classic swagger. "Against The Clock" reveals a more frantic, techno-inspired Hitman with persistent loops and an overall manic vibe. "Mad Dog" finishes the set with yet more 'vintage' dubstep flavours. Listen closely, you can actually hear him tearing up his hit man application in the background.
