Intelligent Manners At Juno Download

Review: Another day, another dollar... and another release from the ever-prolific Fokuz imprint. This time round it's a three-track EP entitled "There Was A Girl 2011" featuring two tracks from Flowrian and another collab between Intelligent Manner & Dynamic. The title track is all lush twinkling melodies, atmospheric sweeps, dusty breaks rattling and a breezy, distant vocal - a stunner from Flowrian here. Next, "So Sincere" (the collab track) is all twinkling, fairy dust showers and clicking, rolling breaks with gently humming b-line. "Rhino Lands", the concluding track, sees Flowrian back in the hot seat with pattering beats, quirky SFX and the occasional toot of a trumpet.

Review: First up, Intelligent Manners sets the tone with jazzy shimmies, tough, terse breaks and a laid back summer vibe in "Be Rollin". A snippet of cooing vocal sets off the glistening glockenspiel sweeps and pattering percussion. Next, comes the aptly articulated "Stutters" with its crisp drums, reverberating lyrics and repetitive, lilting structure. "Changes" heralds the dawn of something new as Intelligent Manners takes a leaf out of Nu:Tone's book with some soulful, liquid funk before "The End Of Summer" kicks off with a TC-style phone call and disco-tinged atmospherics.

Review: Another future Russian D&B star comes to the fore from the heart of Saint Petersburg. Dmitriy Sabekeiya, aka Intelligent Manners, wins hearts with this three-track offering - enticingly titled My Sweet Love - on Fokuz. And lo, first track "Back 2 Love" is full of swooning melodies, rising strings and heartfelt piano murmurings, amidst delicate breaks and a purring b-line. "My Sweet" ups the ante with a swing in its step, tinkling bells, bursting drums and cooing vocal snippet. Finishing up with "You In My Diary", Intelligent Manners, pairs clapping, swaggering beats with a lullaby melody and background vintage crackle.

Review: Sublime and serene liquid D&B in manner of BCee from Intelligent Manners on Celsius Recordings. Gentle pattering breaks meld with shimmering SFX and twinkling bleepy lullaby melodies in the first track of this four-track EP, "I Hope U Do". The story continues with soulful vox, cooing instrumentals and delightfully breezy atmospherics in the equally superb "Someday". "Where Is My Other Half" rings the changes, with a more chopped up vocal arrangement and pared down approach which will get heads nodding. Final track, "Like Cat & Mouse" is a classic jazz / soul work out with smoky atmospherics, crisp percussion and evocative soundscapes.

Review: Intelligent Manners present two super sharp cuts on Celsius, which are simply radiant from start to finish. Full of uplifting rhythms, feel-good sounds and warm instrumentals, "A Season Of Love" gets things rolling with sparkling SFX, shimmying melodies and the distant sound of a saxophone drifting across this breezy little tune. It's lilting liquid loveliness here in its purest form. It's a similar story in "Autumn Leaves", which continues the ethereal, dreamy story with enticing melodies and mellifluous snatches of horns, strings and keys in the distance.
