Review: Chicago house don Chez Damier teams up with Adults Only boss Chris Carrier, Paris native Jef K (of Silvernetwork Records) and vocalist Nouha Matlouni for the second instalment of the Gathering project, which Chez first started back in 2004. "In My System" is slice of classic deep house, replete with souful vocals, looped rhythms and atmospheric chords, and produced with the kind of intricate poise you'd expect from a collective made up of such talented individuals. Next up is the dub version of "Gathering Funky Take", which takes things in an altogether sleazier direction, while the original cut rounds things off in a bouncy, almost tech house manner - be sure to check the particularly fun drop that arrives early on.
