Review: With a name like Presents Zion Sounds, it doesn't take Sherlock-like levels of deduction to work out Juiceman's inspirations. From start to finish, this bubbling four-tracker offers a contemporary take on ragga jungle with just enough of an old skool twist to impress ageing ravers. "Knives" is particularly old skool, ditching most of the dubwise flavour in favour of a snappy, jungle-step groove and drifting rave-era vocal hits. "Dan Gargan" focuses the action around a well-known ragga vocal sample and growling grooves, while "She Said" is pleasingly deep. The real stand out, though, is the heady, intoxicating ragga jungle-meets-deep D&B of "Zion Sounds" itself; it's the EP's best moment by some distance.
