Review: In the wake of the analogue revival and the celebration of lo-fi, it's important to celebrate those who do something determinedly different with the approach, and Kon-Om-Pax definitely has a unique vision. Although it may not seem structured as such, Regional Surrealism behaves like the soundtrack to a particularly disturbing sci-fi horror film, inhabited as it is by electronic wraiths and large doses of morbid drones. The incantations get expressed through a range of moods that can come on melodic (as on "Sura-Tura-Gnosi-Cosi") or textural (as on "At Home With Mum & Dad"), but never does it veer from the unsettling.
