Review: There's something strangely enduring about "Lost On 14", the latest single from France's Adults Only imprint. Perhaps it's the cute, bleep-laden melody, the stuffiness of the drums or the unsettling nature of the dub-heavy vocal samples. Either way, the track's heady mix of pleasing late night elements is impressive. Jamie Jones adds a bit of sweaty jack on his wonky take, which turns the sanguine original into a wide-eyed 5am bumper. "Born To Be Black" comes on like the soundtrack to an illicit Chicago warehouse party, whilst Gauthier DM's "Lost On 14" remix whips Inner City riffs and heavy bass into a breathless peaktime banger.
