Review: The title track here delivers a solid reappraisal of minimal techno nuances. Featuring rattling percussion and the kind of tone shifting stabs so beloved of Matthew Dear's False project, an initial listen could lead the listener to believe that not much has changed in Geiger's world. But then the remix by Hugo Paixao and Jason Fernandes kicks in and the one note stabs are transformed into nasty rave hoover samples powered by incessant filters - solid! A similarly utilitarian approach applies on "Uprooted". The beats are fuller and the percussion crackles in a militaristic fashion, but the underlying impetus is provided by a relentless filter culled from the late 90s party/loop techno canon.

Review: Four tracks of unrelenting techno come from Kyle Geiger here. The title track is a seven minute long foray into pounding techno, swept away amid sinister tones and FX. "Flood" drenches you in a sea of beats and breaks and "Grit" stomps all in its wake before "Built To Break" takes a more laidback strut through minimal techno.
