Review:
Check out the sounds of Lo-Fi electronic producer Magic Panda, on the American Tigerbeat6 music. The rising UK experimental star follows last years 'Days are Numbered' with three new tracks and some great remixes. The overall sound is quite experimental, yet heavily routed in progressive and both credible and accessible. For us it's the Max Cooper remix of 'Distant Places' that will head straight to the front of the wallet, that said.. Lead track Tokyo is strong, and the remixes of 'A Perfect Circle' are well worth checking out.. Open up your mind and give these a go!!

Review:
Formerly the resident DJs at pioneering London club The End, Layo & Bushwacka are also accomplished producers. Indeed, the opening salvo on their new album sounds like it was commissioned for a film soundtrack, as windswept ambience, gently undulating acid licks and mid-tempo basslines unfold through "Intro", "Delta Ahead" and "Emotional Intelligence". Apart from the chaotic break beats of "The Way Home", they also touch on drummy grooves on "Born in the Backwoods" and "Raw Defined". The duo's album also showcases their ability to make sensuous deep house, audible on the synth washes of "Can't Hurt You", and the tripped out "Dancing In The Dark", featuring Cevin Fisher on vocals.

Review:
Following a big release for Richie Hawtin's Plus 8 label, the London duo return to their own Olmeto imprint and in the process focus on an acid house sound. Indeed, "What Do You Say Now" is an imaginative blend of laid-back reggae vocals, building filters and, as the arrangement climaxes, crashing techno snares. The title track also offers a level of unpredictability: starting with what sounds like a more textbook minimal techno groove, the hissing percussion and white noise give way to muffled vocals and, inexplicably, a sun-dappled Balearic house arrangement. They may have come a long way since the early acid house parties, but clearly Layo & Bushwacka have never lost that feeling.
