Review:
Liquid V do what they do best and provide us with a good dose of liquid D&B from Critycal Dub plus a couple of collabs with DJ Chap and Level 2 thrown in for good measure. First up is "Thing Past" which is all nostalgic tones, rose tinted notes and rattling breaks in abundance. Next is the DJ Chap collab "Sunshine" which strips thing back and focuses on the drums and rhythms with an iconic sample adding the inspiration for the title. "My Feeling" shakes things up with some heartfelt melodies and clapping beats before Critycal Dub & Level 2's "Watershell" brings the EP to a soaring close.

Review:
Expect things to be big, bad and bass-y here in this immense four-track EP from Level 2 on Bryan Gee's V Recordings. Kicking off with the eponymous track of the EP, "Red Notes", it's all tense, whirring SFX and powerful, thwacking drum kicks from the off, with bellowing bass warps and threatening sub bass. "Rolling Pass" is an equally menacing number with hollow, clapping beats dominated by thick swathes of low-end frequencies. "Assault" is a straight up bassline monster, with hissing hi hats and quirky SFX before the EP is brought to a conclusion with "Broken Rhythms".

Review:
Level 2 presents the next installment to come from the V Recordings camp and this time round, they're getting all Brazilian on us with their "Viva Brazil" compilation. Expect plenty of soulful, liquid vibes across the selection and watch out for some particular highlights from Level 2, DJ Roots, Critycal Dub, DJ Chap & Andrezz, Subsid & L Side and Unreal. Uplifting from the off, the album is jam-packed with lush instrumentals, sonorous vocals and pattering drums - make sure you check "Situations" with its dribbling rhythms, "Deep Motion" and the more minimal sounds of "Fast Lane". This is well worth checking out if you're a die-hard D&B fan.
