Review: Los Transatlanticos are tailor made for BBE, a Bogota/ Berlin troupe whose triumphant 2012 LP First Trip, deftly blended Latin and Caribbean music with modern urban sounds. This addendum release from the label casts material from the album out for reinvention from a series of remixers that include Chris Read, Mr Bird, O de Lanzac, Marflix and Los Transatlanticos' own Dean Bagar aka Tricky D! The resultant eight remixes make for a genre blurring collection that retains the Latin musicality of the source whilst remaining very much appropriate for the dancefloor.
