Luqas At Juno Download

Review: Brighton producer Luqas has had support from Annie Nightingale, Far Too Loud and Hedflux, as well as being a resident at Brighton's barn-storming Slackers Convention. He drops the technoid beats on "Altered States", overlaying vintage spoken word samples and some muscular synths to craft a really effective breakbeat banger. The Perpetual Present mix tightens up the flow a little, putting the punchy drums way out front, while another Luqas original, "Replicant" rounds off the single with some hardcore filter-stabs. Three banging breakbeat nuggets not to be slept on!
