Review: The Field label is one of the few imprints that does split releases in style. Unlike some labels, Field puts a lot of time and care into A&Ring these records - and the eighth release is no exception. Area Forty One's contribution is a glorious ambient soundscape, like a modern update on the theme from Blade Runner. A similarly evocative theme can be found in Artefakt's track, but it is in the middle of a hypnotic, repetitive rhythm. Mark Du Mosch takes the heads-down approach to the extreme on the grungy, ass-quaking bass of "Dwelling", while Steffi steers the release back to deeper waters on the spiky drums and esoteric melodies of "Full Glory".
