Review: Maztek steps up with something completely different on Renegade Hardware. Taking things on a more experimental tip, opening track "Galatica" is all quirky, tough beats, stuttering, dribbling rhythms and drifting, crackling synths for the one and a half minute intro. Fallling into a tumultuous drop, the track progresses into a Rockwell style work out of epic proportions with growling bass and warping SFX. The accompanying cut "Odyssey" does just as much damage with an ominous intro, grizzled bass warps and plenty of murky menace. Gnarly stuff a gwarn!
