Review: Following its appearance on Nang's recent compilation "The Array Volume 2", Nuuro's "Avila" gets a single release. For those with a passion for swirling synthesizer atmospherics, it comes highly recommended. Though slightly dancefloor minded in construction, its waspish, autotune-laden vocals and bubbly electronics suggest Nuuro intended to pitch it at a leftfield pop audience - there's certainly an 'in the know' feel to proceedings. Cool kids take note. Lusty Zanzibar provides the obligartory remixes, upping the atmosphere to paranoia-inducing levels of late night smokiness. There's also a bonus cut, "After A Night Out", which demonstrates Nuuro's love of floor-friendly punk-funk shoutiness.
