Review:
If you're looking for evidence that hard techno is still alive and well, you'd be well-advised to check 'New World Order'. Tuomas Rantanen's 'Echo Tangents' is the most intense contribution, its distorted break beats and droning synths bludgeoning the listener into submission, but it's a close battle as Oliver Kuchera's 'Keychain' is an insane panel-beating track and the evil analogue yelps and droning synths of Pablo Bosio's 'Baalzephon' are reminiscent of the highlights of James Ruskin's and Surgeon's late 90s work. The highlight however is Luis Ruiz' 'Greenskin'; less pacey than the other contributions, its eerie chords and intense filtering and driving percussion will endear it to fans of Technasia and Jerome Sydenham.

Review:
Dutch label Dynamic Reflection is on fire right now, and Memories won't disappoint fans of its hard-edged techno focus. The title track gets the balance between industrial menace and slamming techno just right, veering from broken beats to straight kicks and back again. "Rendered Reality" shows a different approach from Kucera, with its pacey, metallic rhythms filled with eerie chords. The remixes also push at the outer limits of techno, with the Dynamo version taking the title track and flinging it into a throbbing but atmospheric approach and the Never Existed Boy version offering a more abstract, but acid-fuelled sound.
