Review:
Taken from their album "Lightfalls", Part Time Heroes drop the mellow and languid "Done" as a single - backed by an excellent remix from Throwing Snow (responsible for one of 2011's shining highlights, "Randomer"). TS rearranges the Heroes' original over a suitably soft beat of kicks and claps and lets the pastoral original shin through via a series of rough chops and cuts.

Review:
Taken from their sophomore album Meanwhile, Part Time Heroes deliver an outstanding slice of sombre soul laced with rich organic instrumentation. A minor arpeggio that spirals deeper and deeper in somnambulant sonic bliss, this is an impeccable piece of music that will scream volumes at fans of Bonobo, Quantic, Hidden Orchestra, Submotion et al. Packaged with two delightful, more club-centric rubs and the jazzier "Heaven Won't Make Your Wish Come True", this entire release is spotless. File under both beautiful and breath-taking.

Review:
Coming back with a much-anticipated follow up to 2008's Meanwhile... album, Ross Wakefield and Toby Vane return under their Part Time Heroes vibe with this Wah Wah 45's long player - an inspiring and beautifully recorded album of orchestral soul, delicate ballads and downtempo, electronica-inspired moodscapes. Similar to hotly-tipped singer Michael Kiwanuka, Part Time Heroes employ stirring brass and gentle acoustic guitars that echo the work of Rotary Connection producer Charles Stepney on songs like "Words" or "Holy". When combined with vocalists such as Sarah Scott and Colonel Red, the results - as on "Leaving" - are quietly epic.
420Mb of material, including 35 live & reprogrammed broken drum loops, 39 flute riffs, 11 guitar parts, 60 sax parts, 18 double bass samples, 5 drum kits and 2 full fender rhodes multi samples.
