Review:
Well known breaks barons Defkline & Pure SX get lively once again with another instalment of cheeky bootleg action. First up is "212", a bold reversioning of the currently unavoidable Azealia Banks track. With high-riding synth hooks and a beefy rhythm construction, it's a surefire bullet this summer. "Link Up" sees Wiley go under the duo's carving knife for another failsafe chunky funkster. Rolling breaks with rounded bass, it's more respectful than some of the remixes that have been doing the rounds. Finally we hit "End Of Line", a fine-tuned Beyonce homage that comes complete with instant hands-up 80s synths, very well executed bass tones and an electro riff that develops throughout.

Review:
Quick couple of questions: Do you have a booty? And would you like to shake it? If the answer is yes then press play and clear some dancing space. You're going to need it. Undiluted rolling breakbeat with deep, resonate bass tones, Pure SX has founded the perfect bed for Emma's rather sexified lyrical spittery and Benzo's back-and-forth banter. In a nutshell? Quintessential booty bass. Breakspoll award winning Mafia Kiss provides the remix. Paying respect to the original, at first it sounds like all he's done is add a chunky break. Then it all kicks off on the first drop. Two great takes on a bootylicious banger, grab the shades and press play!

Review:
Taking Asaf Avidan's emotional exercise in modern day folk and giving it the regal reboot it deserves, Pure SX and Mutant Breakz ensure Hot Cakes' reputation as 'king of bass bootlegs' remains intact with this blistering breakbeat version of "One Day". One sawtooth bassline sizzles over a more elongated distorted low-end lick while the beats swagger and the guitars loop gently in the background. Building gradually, the vocal doesn't really take full presence until the breakdown, causing serious dancefloor meltdown in the process.
