Review: Dark and intense drum & bass from Ray Keith on the legendary Penny Black label. Both the title track and "King of Fire" on the flip roll with dark and menacing breaks. The former uses ethnic vocals and echoes to add more mysticism, while the latter uses a warm bassline and rolling percussion. A more than fitting release for such an esteemed label.

Review: Ray Keith, legendary jungle DJ / producer and owner of the infamous Dread Recordings, makes a comeback and the I Am Renegade Sampler says it all with some 21st century jungle music to please the ravers while giving the contemporary scene a sprinkle of the old skool. "Monster" gets the party started with its bass warping, ticking breaks and iconic rave vocal and stabs, before "I See The Future" takes over with its progressive sweeping atmospherics and bass lurches. "Galaxian Warrior" goes a bit more dancefloor orientated with wobbles, rattling drums and plenty of punch, and then "Tronik" re-works a recognizable vocal and twists it up with that Ray Keith dexterity.
