Review: After a housey outing for Jaffa Surfa, Bosconi Extra Virgin score a coup in securing some vintage gold dust from Riccio, better known as 50% of the brains behind the massively popular Super Value Edit Series. The Desire EP sees Riccio reach into his vaults for three superlative disco house cuts that chug and groove in all the right places. The chunky groove of "The Dom (Is Good)" kicks things off, a slo mo deep house track drenched in sun kissed melodies and neat little instrumental edits. The space disco boogie of "You Are (Desire)" is dominated by a pounding bass line and splendid dubbed piano riffs with a soulful harmony slowly rising through the mix and riding the groove. The classy low slung underground NYC disco sound of "Dreaming" wraps up a release worthy of the Super Value stamp.
