Review:
Coming together once again after stonking funky breaks singles such as "Todos Es Nuevo" and "T-Rex Booty", French producer (and Badboe cohort) Prosper teams up with prodigious Brit producer Rory Hoy for the low-slung G-funk of "Have You Heard Of This". With a tightly-looped "funky worm" sample recalling the heyday of west coast '90s hip-hop, Zhygiz lays done some punchy rhymes over a sampled, roughed-up break on the title tune, while another newie "Rookie Dance" moves up into disco tempo and fuses twangy bass leads and Latin percussion with a fun, pitched-up vocal from Digicay.

Review:
London nu-funk imprint Boogie Boutique come correct once again on the Shake It Out EP which pairs up French producer Prosper with a number of collaborators. The title track has Prosper going toe to toe with Knaresborough's finest Rory Hoy on a funk heavy cut n paste production blessed with the J-Live style delivery of Imagine This - German trio Funkanomics handle remix duties and turn in one of their trademark electrified productions that still makes ample usage of Imagine This' delivery. Following this, the superbly titled Old Skool Nemo proves his studio worth alongside Prosper on the boogie number "Get That Boogie Thing" whose speed of sound is matched by swiftness of vocal delivery from JC001 and the man Ashley Slater. Nick Fonkynson drops a remix that begs for a big beat revolution.

Review:
Praised by the likes of Fatboy Slim, Craig Charles and Fake Blood (Wiseguys), it's no surprise that this rising producer evokes the spirit of the 90s. With four albums under his belt already, Hoy knows what he's doing and "Bouncework" is a great example of his production skills; taking a very Fatboy sounding track and adding a bit of modern fizz into the mix. While maybe not being strictly true these days, "Everybody Wants To Big a DJ" has 'festival favourite' written all over it. Ramshank deliver a killer, rough-as-you-like electro-house monster remix that stands out a mile as an EP highlight.

Review:
Out on the recently revived Skint Under-5's imprint, Rory Hoy packs a shed load of funk and finesse into "Put Your Money Where Your Mouth Iz". A breaks-flavoured production at around 100bpm, there are loads of hip-hop scratches as well as live bass and guitars that keep the tune lively, and some killer breaks into solo Rhodes keyboard vamps too. On the remix front, Linton Brown delivers a dubstep workout with an uptempo beat that's dripping with energy. Hoy's "Keep It Down" is also included - a fun and fruity breakbeat tune that comes loaded with plenty of funky brass. All in all, a joyful collection of tunes.
