Review: The first compilation EP of Top Billin's "Nightrunners" series - a dedicated imprint for more disco-orientated releases from some of the world's most promising producers. Helsinki's Bright Shades nails it perfectly with the electro-Italo of "Brighter Tomorrow", while Galactik Nights use some almighty filtering to pep up the Chic-like bassline of "Sunshine". Vladrina's "Forester" is classic piano-house mixed with some Ableton'd vocal chops, while "Can You Feel The Dub" by Sir Nenis & JM takes its chord structures straight from an 80s movie montage (no bad thing) and Sean Roman rounds things off with the sultry nu-disco of "Lick".

Review: The main man behind the all-conquering wonky electro label Top Billin', Sir Nenis drops his Sharkslayer alias for this new and very vital release. "Play The Game" is a massive mash-up of galactic textures and ghetto-bass rhythms, with a couple of enormous snare rushes breaking up the heavy electro groove. Astronomar drops a slamming, Cajmere-esque rework, while Nader's Moombahton remake offers a slower revamp.

Review: Bumping big room techno fun from the Top Billin' family, as Sir Nenis and Belmont squeeze plenty of squelchy bass, crunchy leads and whimsical breaks into these two new blasters. Where "Jack Box" is hard-hitting right off the bat, "Steamroller" is a slow-burning beauty, with a static bassline linked closely to the kicks and an ever-rising excitement running through the tune.
