Review:
A real highlight in Ninja Tune's stellar roster, Slugabed keeps his rep flying high with this excellent new single. Letting the beats take a back seat this time, he pumps "Mountains Come Out of Sky" with a surging and swirling orchestral force that ebbs and flows throughout the track. Adding a more blurry-eyed and slanted treatment, Lapalux turns in a blinding remix, as does Kutmah who draws out some real creep from the original and sets it to a disjointed footwerk beat.

Review:
Leading on from early releases on Ajunabeats, Dutch duo 16 Bit Lolitas have since moved across to the equally colossal home country Armada camp, both for management and their own label Bits & Pieces. This collection of 10 full length tracks, Is the perfect introduction to the label and their unique progressive sound made famous by tracks like 'Nobody Seems To Care'. Although all on offer here is wicked, it's 'Goodbye Voodoo', 'Bless You' featuring The Funky Bastard, and 'Baby You', which all jump out to us.. Get stuck in this little lot.

Review:
Following his "Moonbeam Rider" single for Nina Tune, this new instrumental EP from Greg Feldwick's alias finds the UK producer straddling the gaps between bass music and broken beat/nu-jazz perfectly. The opening title tune is a slow and spacey delight, complete with slowly unfurling arpeggios and some truly unexpected static gaps. "Whirlpool" follows a similarly astral path, while the beatless and cinematic "Dragon Drums" and the Boards of Canada-esque "Mist" are both future classic Ninja Tune cuts.

Review:
In a move that has been built up to for some time, Ninja Tune welcome Slugabed into their family with this album. His wonderfully ramshackle beats are only ever matched by his knack for lashings of melody, both from his brassy samples and high-strength synths, as much on this album as any output that preceded it. The gregarious boogie of "Sex" remains a standout track, while "Moonbeam Rider" bumps with all manner of delirious funk that tips its hat a little to the cheeky swagger of Skweeee. Watch out for the wild "Unicorn Suplex", which comes on like Dam Funk getting sped-up and freaky in a NES. Highly recommended.
