Review:
Following on from Prok & Fitch's monster re-edit of this Todd Terry classic, Dutch star Gary Beck gets under the bonnet this time around on this Toolroom Trax release. Expect a vivid and galloping beat alongside some tightly looped Rhodes and cut-up vocal shots on this modern but very faithful re-imagining of this TT classic.

Review:
The modern day interpretation of house music's past doesn't afford much space to Todd Terry, focusing instead on the merits of Chicago. This is a huge shame because if one can look past Terry's champagne-quaffing, big-fee demanding image, he made a lot of inspirational tunes. "Bounce To The Beat", originally released in 1994 under his Sound Design alias, is one of many examples of his art. Like all his releases, the beats are so fat and the bass so warm, that they make tracks by other artists sound so tinny and inconsequential. Thankfully, this version by Prok & Fitch is a respectful one, with a walking funk bassline and an insistent vocal sample providing the prelude for a wild siren riff. Hopefully it'll also turn a new generation onto the house of Todd.
