Review: Some excellent raw ghetto house from Toronto's Syntonics, who follows on from his "Da Hook Up" single with these four new remixes on Intellegenix. The 2 Live Crew-isms of "12 Gauge Donkey Boot" are both retro and also a hell of a lot of fun, while Terror Tone's bassline remix of "Flip It Out" is a mighty worker with some dubstep inflections to the synth stabs. On another tangent altogether, Vlsonn transform "Rock2Nite" into a ghetto house/deep house hybrid, complete with French-style phased samples a la Justice. The vocal electro of Blue Neptune's take on "Let U Know" rounds off this fine EP in sparkling, glistening form.
