Review: Back after too long away, Manchester indie-dance outfit The Whip follow up their debut album X Marks Destination with this, their second long-player. Produced by Jagz Kooner, the band thankfully haven't dispensed with their guitars as brash opener "Keep Or Delete" or "Secret Weapon" prove. However, some of the albums' highlights are those moments when retro Moogs and new-school synths dominate the mix, such as the fist-punching "Intensity" or the Orbital-recalling "Master of Ceremony". A hugely confident and bullish record that marries great tunes with great production.
