Berlin's Einmusika present us with some epic, tripped out, new wave progressive sounds that fans of Life & Death and Innervisions will surely be all over. London's Third Son has released previously on Noir Music and 303 Lovers and this new release sees him at the top of his game. "Atonal Impression" is one of those dark journey tracks; eerie strings and one of those wonky synth leads that Mind Against and Recondite use; it sounds wicked of course! Oh and a splash of white noise for good effect. "Voices In The Head" is much more upbeat with its killer bassline and razor sharp leads. All around quite funky but still mysterious. Finally "Eskaflowne" gets all epic on us again like the first track. There's some big drops on this one and a perfect pre-peak time track to really set the mood!
Joseph Price has only been releasing music for a few years, but already had his material featured on labels like Cajual and UponYou. NowEinmusik's label is the latest imprint to feature this upcoming talent. The first installment of "Third Son" is a slow burning, low-slung groove that rises and builds with all the intensity of the summer sunrise. Supported by a wiry, metallic groove, it's the perfect track to play as the dawn breaks. The second installment is more abstract, and sees Price use a skewed rhythm and brooding bass to construct a more moody, less welcoming arrangement - the flip side to the first "Third Son".
