Time for some Tokyo terror as one of Japan's hottest jungle prospects makes his debut on Shake Your Bass with two on-point floor firers. "Scream For Bass" hits the senses from the off with a droning sub that suddenly switches into an aggy Twisted Individual-style punch up. "Bassline Road" flips the vibe with a playful riff that wouldn't go amiss in a Roni set. Taking a animated Q&A style and mutating it through various different tones and textures, there's a strong whiff of a young TC to the groove here. Which, as we all know, is no bad thing.
Tokyo's Tomoyoshi returns to Disjointed Textures with a cheeky update on his last EP. Each of the four original cuts enjoying a wee nip, tuck and bassline variation, it's all about the subtle twists and turns throughout the EP; the spooky harmonics on "Stranger", the pure fugliness of "Bad Boy", the addictive riff on "Combination" and the classic Playaz-style jitterbug rolls of "The Jungle". Badness!
