Exclusive compilation of Juno's favourite Late Night Tales' tracks available at a special low price, including voucher for 25% discount on further LNT downloads
Here at Juno HQ, we rather like the long running Late Night Tales series, where esteemed bands, musicians, producers and DJs give us a taste of what post-club listening is like round their gaff. To celebrate the series, we've put together a little low-price bundle featuring some of our favourite tracks from the unmixed versions of the compilations. There's plenty to enjoy, from the shuffling goodness of Kenny Dixon Jnr's slightly overlooked remix of Innerzone Orchestra, and the Balearic goodness of Steve Miller Band and Chris Rea, to the classic hip-hop styles of Mos Def and Souls of Mischief. As if that wasn't enough for less than a fiver, you also get 25 per cent off any downloads from the LNT catalogue. Bargain!

Review:
The ADE has become one of the most important dates in the international electronic music diary, and if this compilation is anything to go on, it taps into the current musical climate. Sampler contains more than its fair share of loppy house and tribal workouts - contributions from Gabriel Ben and Lee Picton's insane whooshing stand out - but it's the interpretations of classic sounds that really impress the most. Greg Fenton's "Revolver" is a chugging techno groove, its heavy beats underscoring a massive air raid siren. Mark Holmes's dub remix of Tuunee's "I'll be (right there)" is even more intense, with widescreen chords and a massive Resse-style bassline combining for an epic slice of dramatic techno.

After the great response to Bass Punch records' first Future Klassiks compilation, the dubstep label come back strong with this latest volume - a nicely rounded collection featuring slowly paced, slightly chilled tunes like Dux's opener, "Bastard", and kaleidoscopic future-bass brilliance in the shape of Ill Boding's "Daily Stress". Elsewhere, the ruff stuff comes via Afterdark's militant "Shuff Off" or the equally berserk ManyGances "Nova". Lots of undiscovered and quirky quality here - perfect if you're feeling disenchanted with all things dubstep.

Wonderfully titled label Slime was founded in 2010 with the firm intent to 're-capture the wide-eyed thrill of the first age of rave'. Since then they have put out a multitude of forward thinking releases all leading to this, their second label compilation. Literally bulging with underground goodness, the tracklist weighs in at 26 full-length tunes (plus a free one!). Highlights of all this madness include the sparse 2 step of "Jaded" by Akin, the twitching, percussive "Sunwan" by SPD, the dreamy 3am RnB vibes of "Communication" by Totte, the deeply seductive rimshot house of DYP's "Vices" and the ominous rave of "There's No Way" by Frequent Flyers.

Compiling releases from UK-based Crazy Rabbit Records, hare-raising DJ/producer Purple Rabbit lets fly with a hefty set of remixes and originals, including the old-school charge of "Keep It Rockin'" and the acid-inflected "Dude". With a huge range of styles covered, there's quality in droves here - check out the zombie breaks-disco remix of DJ Swipez' "Bad Boyz" for just one example.

Review:
There's no-stopping the Tru Funk crew this year; be it booties or original funk cuts, the collective have been dishing out some fine styles of late. This compilation is the current zenith of their achievements; 10 fresh tracks from the likes of Chudy, Jayl Funk, DJ Axe, Dastardly Kuts, Warson, Sammy Senior and more. Low swung slo-mo ghetto is the flavour of the day with dashes of disco, funk, hip-hop and booty bass liberally splashed throughout. Highlights include Nynfus Corporation's ragga-bassline bomb "Weekend In Budapest" (featuring classic Freestylers lyrics if we're not mistaken) and Robinson Grooves' eighties-tastic slap-bass heavy "Bounce". If you've not yet joined the Tru Funk club, now's the time to sign up.

Review:
German funk baron Quincy gives us another fine slice of Lime Sorbet radio show with this 15 strong collection of nu funk gems. The faces are there - Basement Freaks with the butt-shaking cut n' paste party joint "City Jam" and Ursula with a retro-gaze car-chase "Tension" - but there's also refreshing presence of fringe nu funk players like Michael Devillis with the horn-hooting "Craziest Things" and Peurto Rican selector Stereo77 with his dusty, low swung bass wig out "Algeria". It's the work of a true selector, and the continuous mix simply proves Quincy can use the turntables as well as he can curate.

Take a look at this label's history. They've released more compilations this year than we've eaten hot meals. And we LOVE hot meals at Juno. What's more; they've all been solid collections too. Shifty booty-business, sample-soaked party pieces and hip-hop-flavoured block-bashing joints, Actual Sounds have the nu funk scene locked down. Highlights abound across the 24-strong set but only a sucker would miss out on Badboe's filtered funk attack on NYC-kicking hip-hop ("Hercules 12"), Jazz K Lipa's ragga dance skank "Take Easy & Surf The Volume" and Pulp Fusion's slinky, sexy lounge-lizard "Manu's Groove". Here's to the next compilation!

Things that make you go phwoar! Sexy people, massive bowls of ice cream, low flying blimps and, most importantly, Actual Sounds compilations. Each one of them comes bulging with baggy-trousered booty joints; they ooze character and promise nothing but the purist party juice. Vibes abound across the 20 track set but highlights include a trance-tinged electro treatment of Sugar Hill ("Belgium Delight"), DJ Nixon's rude rendition of Delinquent Habits' "Return Of The Tres", Mr Bird's squelch-attack on Moby and Middle Diddle's strangely effective take on Green Day. Sounds terrible in type, but brilliant through the speakers.

Review:
Telephunken's Tremendo imprint continues to settle itself into the party, making itself more than at home. A cool septuplet of cuts, the swaggering block busting vibes are introduced by Telephunken themselves with a very naughty Rage Against The Machine sampling mosh-masher before we cruise into myriad styles from west coast Cali soul (Father Funk's "Real Funky") to chop-blistering big beat (The Bang! Bang! Show's tongue-in-cheek "Do Your Whoomp") to slow n' steady bass squelchism (Stereo Beatz "Feel The Panic"). Tremendo? Tremendous more like.
