Review: Not to be confused with Danish nu-disco/Balearic sort Peter Visti, Strictly Groove Recordings boss Visti kickstarts his 2012 with the first in what we assume will be a series of single-track digital releases. The untitled track offers a long, languid slo-mo groove that carefully builds over eight head-nodding minutes. There are all manner of cute samples in the mix, from barely-audible pianos and clipped jazz guitars (very George Benson) to looped party atmos and helium-infused vocal cut-ups. It exists somewhere in the no-man's land between heady, downbeat deep house, eyes-wide-shut Balearica and sludgy disco. Either way, it's a slow dance delight.
