Review: South West London based Wilkinson, aka Mark Wilkinson, is a recent addition to the Ram Records camp, and it looks like Andy C's new signing has been hard at work in the studio. Progressive and uplifting "Every Time" kicks the release off with a bang, courtesy of a catchy vocal hook, piano chords, arpeggiated synths and enough bass to upset the neighbours. "Overdose", however, is the standout track here, and will no doubt get a rewind whenever dropped. The gravelly synth bass, booming subs and expertly layered FX give this an anthemic feel. Dancefloor destruction.

Review: One of the hotly tipped talents from 2011, Ram's young gun Wilkinson comes up with yet another dancefloor-driven killer on Andy C's imprint. "Tonight" is all uplifting, hands-in-the-air euphoria, warm, undulating bass, reverbed vocal and punchy drumwork. It really is a magic formula, which makes a distinct and perhaps intentional nod to Hospital in its overall sound and structure. It's partner-in-crime, however, "Pistol Whip" is an altogether different beast, with gnarly, grinding bassline snaking underneath some menacing drums, squeaky synths and stepping, clip-clop rhythms. A very fine outing from Wilkinson - a big thumbs up for this one!
